In this podcast, I tried to tell the story of when I went to Disneyland last summer! As a musician, I have learned how to mix and record audio. I recorded my voice with a Rode M5-mp condenser mic. I usually do not record my voice so it was weird trying to mix with it. I then used the program Reaper for compression and EQ to make my voice sound more “radio” like. Unfortunately I did not have a pop-filter so my P’s and S’s sounded a bit popped. The music in the background is by Lupin the Beatsmith
I really liked how the podcast turned out. I am glad I had some experience with recording and mixing audio, otherwise this would have a been difficult project for me. I really wish I could have included images to show what my experience was like. I am glad I was able to share my story of going to Disneyland!
I believe that your experience with recording and mixing audio made the podcast even better. The story was great, I loved the detail behind it and the adventure the listeners got to take with you. It was an amazing story to listen to.

This is a nice story! I’ve never been to Disneyland, so you made it sound really fun. I like how you made the story sound kind of conversational, rather than really scripted. The music is a nice touch, too. You mentioned that you didn’t use a pop-filter, but I couldn’t really tell until you laughed at the end. Nice job on this podcast.

Thank you! I tried to write a script, however, I am usually not the type of person to follow a script or set of instructions. I am glad you thought the popping was not that noticeable.

I really like this story, especially since it is something that actually happened and is personal to you. I like how it didn’t sound like you wrote down what you were going to say and read it word for word. You made it seem like you were having a conversation with us and were able to laugh about it as well. Nice job!

I like how you used music in the background to create a mood; the balance between spoken word and background music was just right.
